Common mistakes
You shift the weight back into the heels as you fold, letting the hips drift behind the feet and the hamstrings escape.
You round the spine to chase the head toward the floor instead of earning depth at the hip.
You lock the knees hard and hang on the joints.
You let the feet roll onto their outer edges as the stretch builds.
What to focus on
Stack the hips directly over the ankles and keep a slight lean into the balls of the feet.
Put blocks under the hands so you can keep length in the spine at your real range.
Press the big-toe mounds down and engage the thighs so the hamstrings can safely let go.
