Meal planner

Plan your week of eating: search a USDA food library, scan barcodes, quick-add anything else, and copy a day across as many dates as you like. Saves to this device — a free account makes it follow you everywhere.

Need your calorie and macro targets first? Use the free macro calculator — the planner picks them up automatically, and the same calculator lives inside the planner's Targets dialog.

Common questions

Do I need an account to plan meals?

No. The planner is free and everything saves to your device's local storage — no signup, nothing uploaded. A free account adds one thing: your plan syncs across devices, and anything you planned as a guest imports into the account automatically the first time you open the app's planner signed in.

How do I plan the same meals for several days?

Build one day, then hit Copy day: pick any dates on the calendar — the whole week, next Tuesday, whatever — and the day's breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks are copied onto them. Days that already have food can either keep it (the copy is added on top) or be replaced. After copying, edit any day independently.

How do I add foods?

Three ways: search the built-in food library (200+ USDA foods with photos and household portions, plus your own custom foods), scan a packaged food's barcode with your phone's camera (nutrition comes from Open Food Facts or USDA), or quick-add a one-off by typing its name and macros. Foods you've used recently sit in a Recent tab with your last portion pre-filled, so repeat adds are one tap.

Where do the calorie and macro targets come from?

Open Targets and either type your numbers in or use the built-in TDEE calculator (Mifflin-St Jeor with an activity factor and a cut, maintain, or bulk goal). If you've already used the free macro calculator on this site, the planner picks those targets up automatically.

Is this a meal planner or a food diary?

Both — every day is just a date. Plan future days ahead of time, log today as you eat, and look back at past days. Totals for calories, protein, carbs, and fat roll up per meal and per day against your targets either way.
