Common mistakes

  • You keep quiet tension in the jaw, brow, and hands while the big muscles rest.

  • You continue to control or deepen the breath instead of letting it run on its own.

  • You fidget to adjust every few seconds, which resets the release each time.

What to focus on

  • Do one slow scan from feet to face, deliberately releasing the jaw, tongue, and the space between the eyebrows.

  • Let the floor carry your full weight, as if you could not lift a limb if you tried.

  • Simply watch the breath come and go — observing it, not steering it, is the whole practice here.
