Common mistakes
You load the bar like a squat; this movement rewards light weight and punishes ego loading.
You round the upper back as the torso drops instead of keeping the chest broad.
You bend the knees deeper as you hinge, which turns it into a squat and unloads the hamstrings.
What to focus on
Treat it as a stretch under load: hinge only as far as your hamstrings allow with a flat back.
Move slowly and feel the hamstrings lengthen on the way down.
Keep the bar pinned tight to your back with your lats so it cannot roll up your neck.
